ཧཱུྂ༔ ཨོ་རྒྱན་ཡུལ་གྱི་ནུབ་བྱང་མཚམས༔
hung orgyen yul gyi nubjang tsam
Hūṃ! In the north-west of the land of Oḍḍiyāṇa,

པདྨ་གེ་སར་སྡོང་པོ་ལ༔
pema gesar dongpo la
In the heart of a lotus flower,

ཡ་མཚན་མཆོག་གི་དངོས་གྲུབ་བརྙེས༔
yatsen chok gi ngödrub nyé
Endowed with the most marvelous attainments,

པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་ཞེས་སུ་གྲགས༔
pema jungné shyé su drak
You are renowned as the ‘Lotus-born’,

Dak-pey zhing-chok lho-nup pel-ri ney Gyel-wa kün-dü gu-ru pey-ma jung

Guru Pema Jungney, embodiment of all the victorious ones, from the glorious mountain in your sublime pure land in the southwest,

ད་ལྟ་དུས་ངན་སྙིགས་མའི་སྐྱེ་འགྲོོ་ལ༔ ཐུགས་རྗེས་གཟིིགས་ནས་བདག་ལ་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ༔

Da-ta dü-ngen nyik-mey kyey-dro la Tuk-jey zik-ney dak-la gong-su sol

look presently with compassion upon all beings of the degenerate age and heed our prayer.

Dra-gek duk-pa nol-wey tri-teng ney Chö-kyong tso-wo or-gyen rin-po chey

Chief of the dharma protectors, Orgyen Rinpoche, from your throne of crossed bodies of unruly enemies and hindrance makers,

ཡེ་ཤེས་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་འཁོར་གྱིིས་བསྐོར༔ གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་དུས་ཀྱི་གཡོ་འཁྲུགས་བཟློག༔

མི་འགྱུར་རིན་ཆེན་གཏེར་གྱིི་ཕོ་བྲང་ནས༔ དངོས་གྲུབ་འབྱུང་གནས་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ༔

Mi-gyur rin-chen ter-gyi po-drang ney Ngö-drup jung-ney or-gyen rin-po chey

Orgyen Rinpoche—source of all spiritual attainments, from your unchanging palace of precious treasures,

ནོར་ལྷ་གཏེར་བདག་རྣམས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་གྱིིས་བསྐོར༔ གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་དངོས་གྲུབ་ཆར་ལྟར་ཕོབ༔

Nor-lha ter-dak nam-kyi kor-gyi kor Sol-wa dep-so ngö-drup char-tar pop

with your lords of terma and of wealth, I pray: shower siddhis down like rain,

ཁ་བའི་ཡུལ་ལྗོངས་བོད་ཀྱི་ཞིང་ཁམས་སུ༔ ལྷ་སྲིན་དམ་འདོགས་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ༔

Ka-wey yul-jong böd-kyi zhing-kam su Lha-sin dam-dok or-gyen rin-po chey

Orgyen Rinpoche, who bound the gods and spirits with commitments in the snowy lands of Tibet,

བཀའ་སྲུང་སྡེ་བརྒྱད་གཞི་བདག་འཁོར་གྱིིས་བསྐོར༔ གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་མཐའ་ཡི་དམག་དཔུང་བཟློག༔

Ka-sung dey-gyey zhi-dak kor-gyi kor Sol-wa dep-so ta-yi mak-pung dok

surrounded by a retinue of the eight classes of protectors of the teachings and local spirits, I offer this humble request: turn back invading military forces

བསམ་པ་ལྷུན་གྱིིས་འགྲུབ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིིས་རློབས༔

Sam-pa lhün-gyi drup-par jin-gyi lop

བདེ་ཆེན་པདྨ་འོད་འབར་ཕོ་བྲང་ནས༔ འོད་དཔག་མེད་མགོན་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རིན་པོ་ཆེ༔

Dey-chen pey-ma öd-bar po-drang ney Öd-pak mey-gön or-gyen rin-po chey

Orgyen Rinpoche, you who are the protector Amitabha, from your blissful Palace of Blazing Lotus Light,

ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་སངས་རྒྱས་སྲས་བཅས་འཁོར་གྱིིས་བསྐོར༔ གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་པདྨ་འོད་དུ་དྲོངས༔

Chok-chü sang-gyey sey-chey kor-gyi kor Sol-wa dep-so pey-ma öd-du drong

surrounded by a retinue of the buddhas of the ten directions and their heirs, I offer this humble request: guide us to the land of Lotus Light

བསམ་པ་ལྷུན་གྱིིས་འགྲུབ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིིས་རློབས༔

Sam-pa lhün-gyi drup-par jin-gyi lop

and bless us that our wishes may be spontaneously fulfilled.

RECITE THE MANTRA

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཿཧཱུྃ་བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྃ༔

Om ah hung benzra guru pema siddhi hung

སྟེང་ནས་ཉི་ཟླ་གཟིའ་སྐར་ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་བཟློག༔ འོག་ནས་ས་བདག་ཀླུ་གཉན་གདུག་རྩུབ་བཟློག༔

Teng-ney nyi-da za-kar chön-trul dok Ok-ney sa-dak lu-nyen duk-tsup dok

Avert the machinations of the sun, moon, planets, and stars from above! Avert the brutality of earth spirits, nagas, and nyen spirits from below!

བར་ནས་བཙན་དང་མ་མོའི་གནོད་པ་བཟློག༔ འབྱུང་བ་བཞིའི་ནད་རིམས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཁ་ཐུཾ༔

Bar-ney tsen-dang ma-mö ney-pa dok Jung-wa zhi-i ney-rim tam-chey kyi-ka tum

Avert the harm doing of tsen and mamos in the middle! Close off the gateways of contagious diseases which arise from the four elements!

ཕྱོགས་བཞི་མཚམས་བརྒྱད་ཀྱི་མཐའི་དམག་དཔུང་ཐམས་ཅད་མ་ར་ཡ་བྷྱོ་བྷྱོ་བཟློག་བཟློག༔

Chok-zhi tsam-gyey kyi-tey mak-pung tam-chey maraya jhyo jhyo dok dok

Avert all neighboring military forces in the four cardinal and eight intercardinal directions: maraya jhyo jhyo dok dok!

Guru Rinpoche’s Mantra:

SHANTIDEVA ASPIRATIONAL PRAYER

May I be a guard for those who need protection

A guide for those on the path

A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood.

May I be a lamp in the darkness

A resting place for the weary

A healing medicine for all who are sick

A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles

And for the boundless multitudes of living beings

May I bring sustenance and awakening

Enduring like the earth and sky

Until all beings are freed from sorrow

And all are awakened.

PRAYER OF AUSPICIOUS WISHES

At this very moment, for the peoples and nations of the earth,

May not even the names disease, war, famine, and suffering be heard.

Rather may their moral conduct, merit, wealth, and prosperity increase,

And may good fortune and well-being always arise for them.

དུས་གསུམ་སངས་རྒྱས་གུ་རུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ༔

dü sum sangye guru rinpoche

Embodiment of buddhas of past, present and future, Guru Rinpoche;

དངོས་གྲུབ་ཀུན་བདག་བདེ་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཞབས༔

ngödrub kün dak dewa chenpö zhab

Master of all siddhis, Guru of Great Bliss;

བར་ཆད་ཀུན་སེལ་བདུད་འདུལ་དྲག་པོ་རྩལ༔

barché kün sel düdul drakpo tsal

Dispeller of all obstacles, Wrathful Subjugator of Māras;

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་ཏུ་གསོལ༔

solwa deb so jingyi lab tu sol

To you I pray: inspire me with your blessing,

ཕྱི་ནང་གསང་བའི་བར་ཆད་ཞི་བ་དང༌༔

chi nang sangwé barché zhiwa dang

So that outer, inner and secret obstacles are dispelled

sampa lhün gyi drubpar jingyi lob

And all my aspirations are spontaneously fulfilled.

ཞེས་གཏེར་ཆེན་མཆོག་གྱུར་བདེ་ཆེན་གླིང་པས་སེང་ཆེན་གནམ་བྲག་གི་གཡས་ཟུར་བྲག་རི་རིན་ཆེན་བརྩེགས་པ་ནས་སྤྱན་དྲངས་པའི་དུས་བབས་ཀྱི་གསོལ་འདེབས་འདི་ཉིད་བྱིན་རླབས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཆེ་བས་ཀུན་གྱིས་ཁ་ཏོན་དུ་གཅེས་པར་ཟུངས་ཤིག །

Discovered by the great terma-revealer Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, from the right-hand side of the Sengchen Namdrak rock on Mount Rinchen Tsekpa, ‘The Pile of Jewels’. Because the blessing of this prayer, one intended for this present time, is so immense, it should be treasured by all as their daily practice.

DEDICATION OF MERIT PRAYERS (5)

Through this merit, may all beings attain the omniscient state of enlightenment,

And conquer the enemy of faults and delusion,

May they all be liberated from this ocean of saṃsāra

And from its pounding waves of birth, old age, sickness and death!

Extremely Concise Dedication

བདག་ནི་སྦྱིན་པའི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱིས། །

dak ni jinpé sönam kyi

Through the merit of my generosity

རྙེད་དཀའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ཐོབ་ནས། །

nyé ké sangye nyi tob né

May I attain buddhahood, so rarely found.

རབ་མེད་སྲིད་པའི་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལས། །

rabmé sipé gyatso lé

And thereupon may I liberate all beings

སེམས་ཅན་མ་ལུས་གྲོལ་བར་ཤོག །

semchen malü drolwar shok

From the unfordable ocean of existence.

ཅེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་སློབ་དཔོན་བཙུན་པ་རྟ་དབྱངས་ཀྱིས་མཛད་པའི་བསྔོ་བ་ཤིན་ཏུ་བསྡུས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །པཎྜི་ཏ་དཱ་ན་ཤཱི་ལས་བསྒྱུར་བའོ།།

To Dedicate in the Same Way as All the Past Buddhas and Bodhisattvas

JAM PÄL PA WÖ JI TAR KHYEN PA DANG

I fully dedicate all these virtues

KÜN TU ZANG PO DE YANG DE ZHIN TE

To be able to train just like

DE DAG KÜN GYI JE SU DAG LOB CHHIR

The hero Manjushri, who knows reality,

GE WA DI DAG THAM CHÄ RAB TU NGO

And just like Samantabhadra as well.

Nagarjuna’s Dedication of Merit Prayer

Sonam diyi tamchay zigpa nyi
By this merit may all attain omniscience.

Tobne nyepay dranam pam chenay
May it defeat the enemy, wrongdoing.

Kye ga na chi balap drukpa yi

From the stormy waves of birth, old age, sickness and death;

Sipay tsole drowa drolpar sho

From the ocean of samsara, may I free all beings!

Another Common Dedication of Merit Prayer

Gewa diyi nyurdu dag
By this virtue may I quickly

Lama sanggye drupgyur nay

Attain the state of Guru Buddha, and then 

Drowa chigkyang malu pa

Lead every being without exception

Kyekyi sala go par shog

To that very state!

LO TE CHIK CHOK GURU PEMA LA

There is no need to rely on anyone but you. With reverence, I offer homage, and take refuge in you from my heart.

If this supplication is made one hundred, thousand, ten thousand, or hundred thousand times, there is no doubt that your intentions will be accomplished. For someone who continuously recites this, faults will be pacified, and excellent things will increase. Whatever is longed for will occur like a wish fulfilling vase. Whatever intended activity will be unobstructed. On the temporary and ultimate levels, it is certain that whatever is intended will be accomplished without hindrance. Engage in this as a spiritual practice and true results will come about. Samaya.

If one recites this to dying animals or to other sentient beings who are on the verge of death, they will not be reborn in the lower realms. As there is such great benefit, I humbly entreat you to recite this with confident faith in the authenticity of the Buddha’s word.

Conqueror Gone to Bliss, Defeater of Enemies, Utterly Pure and Precious Buddha Bearing the Precious Ushnisha;* to you I prostrate, make offerings and go for refuge.

Infallible Three Jewels, and Supreme Yidam, **
Lord of Compassion, Protector Avalokiteshvara
Think of me, weak and pitiful, with loving compassion
And bear witness to the accomplishment of this vast prayer.

Long ago during the time of Buddha Chubeb
He recited the name of the Bliss-Gone One and liberated fish;

Likewise may I, with the rain of Dharma,
Relieve animals that are powerlessly suffering.

Some have no protector and no place to dwell,
Stricken with fear of being helplessly devoured by another,

These animals, tormented by agonizing misery,
May I relieve them with the rain of Dharma.

When they divest themselves of their present bodies

May they avoid the lower realms
And attain the supreme happiness of gods and humans.

That they may thus listen to the holy Dharma,

Put it into practice,
And strive to achieve unexcelled Enlightenment.

I humbly as all to recite this blessed prayer, as it the very one the Great Siddha Thangtong Gyalpo composed while he performed the liberation of innumerable fish.

*An ushnisha is a cranial protuberance that represents the Enlightened Mind of a Buddha.

The Verses That Saved Sakya From Sickness:

A Prayer For Pacifying The Fear Of Disease

ལས་དང་གློ་བུར་རྐྱེན་ལས་གྱུར་པ་ཡི། །

lé dang lobur kyen lé gyurpa yi

May all the diseases that disturb the minds of sentient beings,

གདོན་དང་ནད་དང་འབྱུང་པོའི་འཚེ་བ་སོགས། །

dön dang né dang jungpö tsewa sok

And which result from karma and temporary conditions,

སེམས་ཅན་ཡིད་མི་བདེ་བའི་ནད་རྣམས་ཀུན། །

semchen yi midewé né nam kün

Such as the harms of spirits, illness, and the elements,

འཇིག་རྟེན་ཁམས་སུ་འབྱུང་བར་མ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

jikten kham su jungwar magyur chik

Never occur throughout the realms of this world.

ཇི་ལྟར་གཤེད་མས་འཁྲིད་པའི་གསད་བྱ་བཞིན། །

jitar shemé tripé seja shyin

May whatever sufferings arise due to life-threatening diseases,

སྐད་ཅིག་གཅིག་ལ་ལུས་སེམས་འབྲལ་བྱེད་པའི། །

kechik chik la lü sem dral jepé

Which, like a butcher leading an animal to the slaughter,

སྲོག་འཕྲོག་ནད་ཀྱི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཇི་སྙེད་པ། །

sok trok né kyi dukngal jinyé pa

Separate the body from the mind in a mere instant,

འཇིག་རྟེན་ཁམས་སུ་འབྱུང་བར་མ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

jikten kham su jungwar magyur chik

Never occur throughout the realms of this world.

འཆི་བདག་གཤེན་རྗེའི་ཁ་ནང་ཚུད་པ་ལྟར། །

chidak shen jé kha nang tsüpa tar

May all embodied beings remain unharmed

ནད་ཀྱི་མིང་ཙམ་ཐོས་པས་སྐྲག་བྱེད་པའི། །

né kyi ming tsam töpé trak jepé

By acute, chronic and infectious diseases,

ཉིན་གཅིག་པ་དང་རྟག་པའི་རིམས་སོགས་ཀྱིས། །

nyin chikpa dang takpé rim sok kyi

The mere names of which can inspire the same terror

ལུས་ཅན་ཀུན་ལ་གནོད་པར་མ་གྱུར་གཅིག །

lüchen kün la nöpar magyur chik

As would be felt in the jaws of Yama, Lord of Death.

གནོད་པའི་བགེགས་རིགས་སྟོང་ཕྲག་བརྒྱད་ཅུ་དང་། །

nöpé gek rik tongtrak gyechu dang

May the 80,000 classes of harmful obstructors,

གློ་བུར་ཡེ་འདྲོགས་སུམ་བརྒྱ་དྲུག་བཅུ་དང་། །

lobur yé drok sumgya druk chu dang

The 360 evil spirits that harm without warning,

བཞི་བརྒྱ་རྩ་བཞིའི་ནད་ལ་སོགས་པ་ཡིས། །

shyigya tsa shyi né lasokpa yi

The 404 types of disease, and so forth

ལུས་ཅན་ཀུན་ལ་འཚེ་བར་མ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

lüchen kün la tsewar magyur chik

Never cause harm to any embodied being!

ལུས་སེམས་བདེ་བ་མ་ལུས་འཕྲོག་བྱེད་པའི། །

lü sem dewa malü trok jepé

May whatever sufferings arise due to disturbances in the four elements,

འབྱུང་བཞི་འཁྲུགས་པའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཇི་སྙེད་པ། །

jung shyi trukpé dukngal jinyé pa

Depriving the body and mind of every pleasure,

མ་ལུས་ཞི་ཞིང་མདངས་སྟོབས་ལྡན་པ་དང་། །

malü shyi shying dang tob denpa dang

Be totally pacified, and may the body and mind have radiance and power,

ཚེ་རིང་ནད་མེད་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ལྡན་པར་ཤོག །

tsering nemé dekyi denpar shok

And be endowed with long life, good health, and well-being.

བླ་མ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་གྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་དང། །

lama könchok sum gyi tukjé dang

By the compassion of the gurus and the Three Jewels,

མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་སྲུང་མའི་ནུས་མཐུ་དང་།

khandro chökyong sungmé nütu dang

The power of the ḍākinīs, Dharma protectors and guardians,

ལས་འབྲས་བསླུ་བ་མེད་པའི་བདེན་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས། །

lé dré luwa mepé den tob kyi

And by the strength of the infallibility of karma and its results,

བསྔོ་བ་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་ཚད་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །

ngowa mönlam tab tsé drubpar shok

May these many dedications and prayers be fulfilled as soon as they are made.

Once, an epidemic was spreading from one person to the next at the great monastery of the Glorious Sakya tradition. Whatever the mantric masters tried—effigies, tormas, medicines, mantras, protection-amulets, and so on—had no effect, and the monastery was in danger of annihilation. At that time, the master mahāsiddha Thangtong Gyalpo performed the refuge prayer which begins, “Sentient beings in number as vast as space”, then recited a number of Maṇi mantras, and said following the Teachers' words, “These aspirations become reality...”. At that time, the entire epidemic immediately ceased in dependence upon the performance of this prayer. Thereby, it became renowned as the vajra speech radiating cloud-like blessings entitled ‘The Prayer that Saved Sakya from Disease.’

Second Buddha, Oddiyana’s Lake-Born Vajra,

འཕགས་མཆོག་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་དང་འཇམ་དཔལ་དབྱངས། །

pakchok chenrezik dang jampal yang

Supreme Noble Avalokitesvara, Manjushri, Vajrapani,

And the remaining Eight Great Bodhisattvas,

Twenty-One Taras, and Assembly of Noble Elders,

རྩ་བརྒྱུད་བླ་མ་ཡི་དམ་ཞི་ཁྲོའི་ལྷ། །

Root and Lineage Gurus, Peaceful and Wrathful Yidam Deities,

གནས་གསུམ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལས་གྲུབ་པའི། །

Dakinis of the Three Sacred Places, Wisdom Dharma Protectors,

ཆོས་སྲུང་ཕྱོགས་སྐྱོང་དཔལ་མགོན་བདུན་ཅུ་སོགས། །

chösung chokkyong palgön dünchu sok

Guardians of the Directions, and the Seventy-Five Glorious Protectors,

མངོན་ཤེས་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་མཐུ་སྟོབས་མངའ་བ་རྣམས། །

ngönshé dzutrul thutob ngawa nam

Masters of miraculous powers and clairvoyance,

རྩོད་ལྡན་འགྲོ་ལ་གཟིགས་ཤིང་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ། །

tsöden dro la zik shing gong su sol

Please care for beings of this degenerate age!

སྐལ་ངན་དུས་མཐའི་སྐྱེ་འགྲོ་སྤྱི་མཐུན་གྱི། །

kal ngen dü té kyendro chi thün gyi

The evil actions of beings during this dark age

ལས་ངན་འབྲས་བུའི་མཚོ་ཆེན་བརྡོལ་བ་ལས། །

léngen drebü tsochen dolwa lé

Overflow as a great ocean of negativity.

དཀར་ཕྱོགས་གཡེལ་ཞིང་ནག་ཕྱོགས་བདུད་སྡེ་ཡིས། །

karchok yel zhing nakchok düdé yi

As the positive forces waver, the dark forces of maras

ཁ་དྲག་དབང་བཙན་མི་ཆེན་སེམས་རྩ་སྒལུ། །

khadrak wangtsen mi chen sem tsa gul

Sway the minds of people of power and influence,

འཛམ་གླིང་ཕུང་བྱེད་རྡུལ་མཚོན་དམག་འཁྲུགས་བསླང་། །

dzamling pungjé dultsön maktruk lang

Inciting war with nuclear weapons able to obliterate this Earth.

ལོག་སྨོན་འཕྲུལ་གྱི་མཚོན་ཆའི་འཐོར་རླུང་ཆེས། །

lokmön trulgyi tsön ché thorlung ché

Perverse aspirations manifest as a hurricane of weapons,

སྣོད་བཅུད་ཐལ་བའི་རྡུལ་དུ་སྐད་ཅིག་ལ། །

nöchü thalwé dul du kechik la

Capable of instantly reducing the world and its beings to dust

བརླག་པར་འགྱུར་ཉེའི་ལྟས་ངན་བྱ་མ་རྟ། །

lakpar gyurnyé té ngen jamata

These omens indicating our impending ruin,

སྣང་གྲགས་རྟོག་པའི་སྤྱོད་ཡུལ་མངོན་གྱུར་ཀྱང་། །

nang drak tokpé chöyul ngöngyur kyang

Are manifest in the realm of appearance, sound, and thought.

མ་རིག་སྐྱེ་བོ་རྨོངས་དང་ཐེ་ཚོམ་རྒྱར། །

marik kyewo mong dang tetsom gyar

Yet ignorant beings remain oblivious and unafraid,

རབ་འཐུམས་ད་དུང་བྲེད་དུ་ཅང་མ་ཚོར། །

rabtum dadung drédu chang ma tsor

Trapped in a web of delusion and doubt.

ཐོས་དང་དྲན་པ་ཙམ་གྱིས་འཇིགས་སྐྱེད་པའི། །

thö dang drenpa tsam gyi jik kyepé

By merely hearing or thinking of unprecedented world change,

སྔར་མ་བྱུང་བའི་འཛམ་གླིང་འཕོ་འགྱུར་གང་། །

ngar ma jungwé dzamling pogyur gang

Terror consumes our very being.

དེ་བཟློག་ཐབས་དང་རེ་ས་གཞན་ནི་མེད། །

dédok thab dang resa zhen ni mé

There are no hopeful means to reverse this

བསླུ་མེད་དཀོན་མཆོག་རྩ་གསུམ་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ། །

lumé könchok tsasum khyénam la

Other than you, the unfailing Three Root Jewels.

ཁྱེའུས་ཕ་མར་འབོད་འདྲའི་སྨྲེ་སྔགས་ཀྱིས། །

khyé'ü pamar bö dré mengak kyi

In wailing supplication,

གསོལ་འདེབས་འོ་དོད་འབོད་པ་འདི་ལགས་ན། །

soldeb odö böpa di lak na

Like a child calling to its parents,

ཁྱེད་རྣམས་སྔོན་གྱི་དམ་བཅའ་མ་བསྙེལ་བར། །

khyé nam ngön gyi damcha manyel war

Please do not renege on your previous vows!

གློག་ལྟར་མྱུར་བའི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་ཕྱག་རྐྱོངས་ལ། །

lok tar nyurwé thukjé chak kyong la

Swift as lightning, extend your arms of compassion

མགོན་མེད་འགྲོ་འདི་སྲུང་སྐྱོབས་འཇིགས་སྒྲོལ་མཛདོ། །

gönmé dro di sung kyob jik drol dzö

To protect and liberate us helpless beings from fear.

འཛམ་གླིང་སྐྱེ་འགྲོའི་བདེ་སྐྱིད་འཕྲོག་བྱེད་པའི། །

dzamling kyendrö dekyi trok jepé

When mighty barbarians

སྟོབས་ཆེན་ཀླ་ཀློས་གཡལུ་འགྱེད་གྲོས་བཤམས་ཚེ། །

tobchen lalö yul gyé drö sham tsé

Who rob the world’s beings of happiness,

གཙོ་བོ་རྣམས་དང་དེ་ཡི་ཁ་ལོ་བ། །

tsowo nam dang déyi khalo wa

Control their leaders and delegates,

མ་རུངས་གདུག་རྩབུ་བསམ་ངན་འཆང་བ་རྣམས། །

marung duktsub sam ngen changwa nam

Please turn the vicious, cruel, and deceitful

ཞི་བདེ་མཐནུ་པའི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་བསྒྱུར་དུ་གསོལ། །

zhidé thünpé chok su gyur du sol

To the side of bliss and harmony.

འགལ་རྐྱེན་དམག་འཁྲུག་རང་སར་ཞི་བ་དང་། །

galkyen maktruk rang sar zhiwa dang

Spontaneously pacify calamity and warfare,

བདུད་སྡེའི་རྡུལ་མཚོན་ཟློག་ཅིང་གཞོམ་པར་མཛོད། །

düdé dultsön dok ching zhompar dzö

And avert and eliminate the hordes of demons’ nuclear weapons.

དེ་ཡི་མཐུ་ལས་འཛམ་གླིང་ས་ཆེན་འདིར། །

déyi thu lé dzamling sa chen dir

By that power, may the lives of our Gurus be long,

བསྟན་འཛིན་ཞབས་བརྟན་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་ཕྱོགས་ཀུན་དར། །

tenzin zhabten shedrub chok kün dar

And the teachings and practice flourish in all directions.

བསྟན་འགྲོར་འཚེ་བྱེད་མི་དང་མི་མིན་གྱི། །

ten dror tsé jé mi dang mi min gyi

Eliminate evil forces of humans and non-humans with their supporters

ནག་པོའི་རྩ་ལག་སྡེར་བཅས་མིང་ཙམ་སྟོངས། །

nakpö tsalak der ché mingtsam tong

Who cause harm to the Dharma and beings.

འཇིག་རྟེན་ཀུན་ཏུ་བདེ་ལེགས་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོས། །

jikten kun tu delek gyachenpö

As great happiness pervades the world,

ཡོངས་ཁྱབ་སྡེ་བཞིའི་དཔལ་ལ་ལོངས་སུ་སྤྱོད། །

yong khyab dé zhi pal la long su chö

Let us entertain the glorious Four Abundances.

རྫོགས་ལྡན་དུས་བཞིན་འཐབ་འཁྲུགས་འཚེ་མེད་པར། །

dzokden dü zhin thab truk tsemé par

Just as in the harmonious Golden Age,

ཀུན་ཀྱང་བདེ་དགའི་གར་གྱིས་བྲེལ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

kün kyang dé gé gar gyi drel gyur chik

May we always be immersed in joyful dance.

སྐྱབས་གནས་མཆོག་གསུམ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་དང་། །

kyabné chok sum gyatsö thukjé dang

By the ocean of the Three Jewels’ compassion,

ཆོས་དབྱིངས་རྣམ་ཀུན་མཆོག་ལྡན་བདེན་སྟོབས་ཀྱསི། །

chöying namkün chokden den tob kyi

And the truth of the supreme dharmadhatu,

བདག་ཅག་བསམ་པ་དག་པས་གསོལ་བཏབ་དོན། །

dakchak sampa dakpé soltab dön

May our prayers of pure intention

ཇི་ལྟར་རེ་སྨོན་ཡིད་བཞིན་འགྲུབ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

jitar rémön yizhin drub gyur chik

Be fulfilled just as we wish!

ཏདྱ་ཐཱ། པཉྩ་དྲི་ཡ་ཨ་ཝ་བོ་དྷ་ན་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། །

tadyata pañchendriya ava bodhanaye svaha

Thus, the five senses are naturally clairvoyant.

ཞེས་པའང་འཛམ་གླིང་ས་ཆེན་འདི་ཡི་སྟངེ ་ད་ུགནས་པའི་རྒྱལ་བའི་བསྟན་དང་། སྐྱེ་འགྲོའི་ཚེ་སྲོག་སྣོད་བཅུད་ཀྱི་དགེ་མཚན་མ་ ལུས་པ་སྐད་ཅིག་ཉིད་ལ་འཇོམས་པའི་ནུས་ཤུགས་ཅན་རྡུལ་ཕྲན་དུག་གི་མཚོན་ཆ་ལག་ལེན་དུ་བསྟར་ནས། མི་རྣམས་ཁ་དག་པ་ དེ་ལྟ་བའིུ་མཚོན་འཁྲུགས་དྲག་པོ་སྔར་མ་བྱུང་བ་ཞིག་དུས་ཡུན་མི་རིང་བར་འབྱུང་ཉེ་བའི་ལ་ཉེ་དང་། ལྟས་མཚན་ཉིན་རེ་བཞིན་དུ་ཇེ་ ཆེར་འགྲ་ོབར་བརྟེན། བཟོད་བླག་དང་བྲལ་བའི་སྐྱོ་ཤས་དང་འཇིགས་དངངས་དྲག་པོས་རྒྱུད་དབང་མེད་དུ་བསྐུལ་བའི་རྐྱནེ་གྱིས་བུ་ ཆུང་མ་ལ་འབོད་པའམ། འགག་དོག་མོའི་ཨོ་རྒྱན་པདྨའི་དཔེ་ལྟར། སྐྱབས་གནས་མཆོག་གསུམ་རྒྱ་མཚོར་ཐགུས་དམ་གནད་ བསྐུལ་གྱི་གསོལ་འདེབས་འདི་ཉིད། དེང་དུས་ཀུན་གྱིས་ཁ་བཏོན་བྱ་བ་དང་། དར་རས་ལ་བྲིས་ཏེ་རི་རྩེ་དང་། ཟམ་རྡུར་སོགས་སུ་འཕྱར་ནའང་དགོས་པ་དང་ཕན་ཡོན་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཡིན་སྙམ་པས་ངེད་རང་ལ་ཡིད་ཆེས་བྱེད་པ་ཀནུ་གྱི་ ཐུགས་ལ་གཞུག་ཅེས་སྤྲང་འཆལ་བུདྡྷ་བཛྲས་རབ་ཚེས་ཆ་ུ མོ་ཕག་ལོ་ནག་པ་ཟླ་བའི་ཡར་ཚེས་༡༣དགེ་བར་བྲིས་པ་སྟེ། འདིས་ཀྱང་བསྟན་ཞབས་ཀླ་ཀློས་སྡུད་པ་ཕྱིར་བསྲིང་བའི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་ཅིག། ༎

By using these nuclear weapons, one unleashes a poison with the power to instantly destroy the Buddha’s teachings, the lives of sentient beings who abide on this earth, and all the inherent goodness of this universe. A time of unprecedented catastrophic warfare is imminent, the signs of which are increasing with each passing day. Moved by an overwhelming sense of powerlessness, sorrow, and terror, like a child crying out to their mother, or as one calls to Guru Rinpoche to block all dangerous pathways, we must make this prayer to invoke the samaya of the Three Jewels. Now, at this juncture, reciting this prayer and hoisting its silken flags upon mountain peaks and bridges is extremely necessary and will bring about vast benefit.

Thus, in the 16th Rabjung on the auspicious 13th day of the waxing moon in the third month of the year of the female water pig, I, the vagabond Buddha Vajra, composed this. All those who have faith in me should keep this in their hearts. May this prayer prevent the extremists from destroying the remains of the teachings!
